Community Advisory Committee

The Community Advisory Committee (CAC) acts in an advisory capacity to the Special Education Local Plan Area (SELPA).  Parents, educators, care providers, and interested community members are all welcome to join.  Being a member of the CAC offers the opportunity to be involved and assist in developing, planning, and implementing activities that provide for greater success for students with exceptional needs.  Please note that ALL parents and guardians are welcome to attend any of our public meetings or CAC trainings.  There is no special application required to attend CAC.  However, if you would like to be considered a standing voting member, an application will need to be completed.  You can also stay informed by joining our Facebook page at Butte County SELPA Community Connection, from here or the home page.  We will frequently post there about important events in the community as well as special education updates and information.  Please note that "Planning Team Meetings" are public meetings within the meaning of the Brown Act, and these are meetings where discussion and action items will be considered.  Other events below are strictly considered trainings or recognition events.
